Another 4 Great Quotes and How They Can Inspire Your Business.

If you’ve read either of our last two blogs about inspirational business quotes, you may have realised just how helpful they can be. If you haven’t, they can be checked out here and here.

At YMG we realised that we often find ourselves looking for
words to inspire us. They help to give us clarity, purpose and help us to focus
on our goals So, we thought we’d share some more of our favourites with you.

Here are another 4 great quotes and how they can inspire your business.

“Opportunities don’t happen. You create them.” – Chris Grosser.

Wise words from the professional photographer. This quote
can be applied to a business of any industry, size, location or experience.

Some people believe that every business that succeeds gets
lucky. They assume that, for any business to grow into a brand or leader in
their industry, they rely on lucky opportunities. And, in some situations, that
is true. However, more times than not, the opportunities they took presented
itself through hard work and determination.

If you don’t apply yourself to your work and don’t push for
success, of course the opportunities won’t appear.

“I failed my way to success.” – Thomas Edison.

Some people live by the quote “Failure is not an option”.
Well, sorry, Mr. Kranz, but in business, it is.

“But Louis,” I can hear you all crying out “failure in
business is a bad thing!” Sorry to say, you’re wrong. Because failure is an
important part of growth in the business world. And yes, maybe I’ll quote
myself with that last line in a list one day.

When Thomas Edison had this lightbulb moment, he was really
on to something. I do wonder if he’s most famous for this memorable line, or
anything else? Nothing springs to mind…

With every failure comes an important lesson to be learned. With every lesson comes improvement. With improvement comes a step closer to success. So, it’s just perspective. You can choose to wallow in sadness at every failure, or you can use it to your advantage and learn.

“The only place where success comes before work is in the
dictionary.” – Vidal Sassoon.

Catchy, factual, punchy. Vidal Sassoon with one of the
ultimate quotes about business. This quote is an inspiration for any business
owner. It’s hard-hitting, but ultimately, it’s truthful.

Some business owners believe that they are owed success.
That it should come their way with the minimum of effort. Sadly, this is not
the case. From the mind of the legendary hairstylist/businessman, there’s
perhaps no human being that could have said it better. Coming from an early
life of extreme poverty, Sassoon didn’t win his CBE in a raffle. He worked
hard, becoming an icon of the hairstylist industry in the process.

Success doesn’t exist without work. The harder you work, the more success you’re likely to see. So, if you’re looking for a quick fix of success, Sassoon suggests you find yourself a copy of the Oxford Dictionary.

“Ideas in secret die. They need light and air, or they starve to death.” –
Seth Godin.

This quote, though morbid sounding, is one of the most
inspirational out there. Godin, an American author and former business
executive, brings us the harsh reality of speaking up.

Many business owners are scared to bring their ideas to see
the light of day. Simply following the norm and hoping for a bite of the pie.
And whilst this may yield some success, it ultimately does nothing more than
follow a pattern. Meaning your business can never truly grow and succeed to the
levels it deserves.

So, what can you do to change this?

Simple. Implement your ideas.

As a business owner, it’s your job to steer the business in a direction you think will be most successful. So, give your ideas the resources and time they need to be expanded on. If you’re not the business owner, pitch it to whoever is. Show them the passion and enthusiasm that you have for the idea. And, hopefully, they’ll take on board your idea. Who knows, you could be the reason your business goes global.

Bonus Quote: “Failure is an important part of growth in the business
world.” – Louis J. Webber.

He’s got the hair, and he’s got the brains.

This copywriter knows what it takes to inspire business
owners with great quotes. As he’s now written 3 whole blogs about them and how
they can help inspire your business!

See, I told you I’d include my quote in a list one day…
